Leisegang (Colposcopy) A colposcope is an optical device used for early detection of cervical cancer and precancerous diseases. An examination performed with this device is called colposcopy. During colposcopy, it is possible to take a biopsy and take pictures of the changed parts. Computerization of the process and data archiving through this device allows to improve the quality of diagnostics. Colposcope magnifies the image by 6-40 times. Through magnification, it is possible to determine the presence of a pathological focus, its shape, color, surface and location. The use of a colored filter helps more closely in the diagnosis of invasive cancer of the cervix. With a camera placed on the back top of the colonoscope, medical staff can easily monitor changes between patient visits, compare colposcopic examinations, and register colposcopic images.
